How to make a soap

In this article I will explain how to make a soap from soap base or neutral soap.

To make your own soap, you will need:

• Soap without any additives. Personaly, I use Sonett ecological handsoap. (100 g)
• Almond oil/Coconut oil/Cannabis seed oil/Any other oil. (2 tablespoons)
• Essential oil (choose the one you like). (2 drops)
• Water or herb tea. I use calendula, camomile or other herb tea.
• Other ingredients: colour, herbs, honey, ...

You will also need some kitchen equipment:

• 2 pots (one bigger than another).
• Grater.
• Spoon or whisk.
• Mould. I use silicon baking forms, but you can use even toy moulds.

Fill bigger pot with water and top it on stove (with fire on, of course). Then insert lesser pot into bigger.

Pulverize soap using grater. Soap should be pulverized as smaller as possible.

If lesser pot is warm enough, pour your chosen oil. (If you do soap from 200 g soap, then you will need 4 tablespoons of oil.)

When oil is hot enough, pour pulverized soap.

Pour some hot water or herb tea, but not much, maybe 50-100 ml. Then mix everything.

If mixture is dense, then pour more water, but just a little. Don't pour too much water. It's better to pour water little by little. Again, mix everything well.

Mixture should be as smooth as it can. Then, cover your pot and heat soap for 10 minutes, but sometimes mix it.

If mixture is too dense, pour more water and mix it. Mixture should be cream-like constistence.

Then you can pour other ingredients - colour, grained herbs, essential oil, and so on. Anything you think of.

Then pour your soap into moulds and leave it for few hours.

After few hour, take your soap out of moulds and leave it somewhere openly to dry up for a week.
